Rational of setting up IBM in a befitting manner Benefits to accure to Buddhist

For last about 20 years the devotees attending religious ceremonies have been facing acute space shortage for perfuming their rituals. Since shifting of the IBM to its present location the attendance of the devotees in different religious ceremonies has increased manifold. Thousands of People assemble at the monastery on occasions like Buddha Purnima, Ashari Purnima, Madhu Purnima, Pavarana Purnima, Kathina Chivara Dana, and Maghi Prunima and at least another equal number of devotees restrain themselves against their best intention from going to the monastery on such occasions only because of shortage space in the monastery and difficulty in perfuming minimum rituals before the Buddha altar in the monastery, This is very perform their rituals at their residences on such occasions also. Additionally, they are deprived of meeting their relatives and friends living at different parts of the large city ( now having about 12.5 million people) on occasions of religious ceremonies also, an opportunity they could get if they could assemble in the monastery. This is affecting their social life for decades and causing harms to unity and solidarity of the community. They are unable to follow the Buddha’s advice to meet regularly in order to maintain their united strength. More

Cultural bridge between Bangladesh and Buddhist populated countries

The IBM being located very close ( within about one kilometer) to Gulshan and Baridhara, the diplomatic Zone in the city, the expatriate Buddhists living there and other parts of the city have the privilege of vesting this monastery easily to perform their day-to-day religious rituals. Setting up the IBM in a befitting manner will create an excellent opportunity for Bangladesh to tremendously gain in building its image among the Buddhist populated countries of Asia through the IBM. The monastery will develop as an international center for promotion of cordial relationship between Bangladesh and Asian countries like Japan, China, Korea, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Mongolia, Nepal, etc. The IBM will function as cultural bridge between Bangladesh and the aforementioned countries and the vast Buddhist population living all over the world. It is expected that the planned IBM will in course develop into an international seat Buddhist learning of international repute, which will be the Buddhists form different countries of the world as they did in different monasteries of this part of the earth in the past.
